12 Months!!!

It's official...We have a 1 year old (pics of the birthday coming tonight also) and she couldn't be more fun! Here is our big girl...

A few things about em right now:
-She never stops moving. She is cruising (walking along furniture) all the time now. My prediction is that she will be walking by next month, but we'll see.
-She is the best eater. Seriously, this girl can pound food, but I would be too if I never rested haha. She gets most excited to eat "nanas', cheese sticks and apples
-She is imitating more and more words we say and picks up on little things were doing. She says "hot" all the time. Will say "nana" (bananas) sometimes and has tried saying night night ("nigh-nigh") just to name a few. She will do this growl, let your breath out thing when she gets frustrated....unfortunately she learned that from mom. She is getting so smart, it's amazing to watch.
-She points to everything she wants or where she wants to go
-Gets into absolutely everything. EVERYTHING!
-My new favorite thing she does is when you tell her to  'say cheese'. You really get cheesy...

And now you get some 'cheesy' from me. But oh, how I love this precious little girl. Court and I really can't get enough of her. The week of her birthday I couldn't stop looking at pictures and videos of her from when she was first born. We have always felt that this sweet girl came to us at the perfect time. We needed her. She is so very special to us. While I was pregnant I just had such strong feelings that she was going to be our special girl, that she would be completely sweet and loving and all those qualities would rub on to us, and they have times 20. How very grateful I am that I get to be Em's mama. She has me and her daddy wrapped around her cute, pudgy finger.

My Big Girl

I went and took Emery's 1 year old pictures yesterday. As I went through them I couldn't stop smiling, and I couldn't stop thinking about how much bigger she looked. She really is my best. She is my sweet, quirky and loving little babe, and is getting better at knowing how to push mom's buttons. She is one in basically one week! Crazy! Anyway...Here are some of my favorites from our little photo shoot.

Sorry, I know it's a bit of an overload but I can't help myself. I can't believe she's mine!

Our Days...

Here's a little bit of what our days have consisted of lately...

Park days and running days in beautiful weather

We had a blast at Cruzer's Trunk or Treat! I've never seen a cuter Mike Wyzgowski.

And always chasing after this little stinker. Love her to pieces.

11 Months

Em turned 11 Months on September 26th.

I have one month left people! ONE month until she is ONE! Maybe it wouldn't be hitting me so hard if I hadn't seem some quote about how you should enjoy every moment with your kids because they are a newborn for a month and (here's where it hit me. Hard) an infant for 1 year. One year. Already I see so much change in my Em and I know this next year is going to blow me away. I have said this a lot, but i sincerely wish they could be babies for just a little longer. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE seeing her grow up. It really is the best. Sometimes I just get a little sad knowing I cant go back. I can't go back and relive my precious, and all too fleeting baby and momma moments. How I truly cherish my special time with her.  And, of course, I do get new moments and that makes me so happy.  Before I get any more sappy, here is my lovey at 11 Months.

 She looks older huh?
I told you last month post that these pictures don't work anymore, too much of a mover :)

I wanted to freeze time today. She is my little buddy.
 This is her favorite game.
 She starts climbing...
And will peek around that first corner until I run saying,"Gunna get you!" and then she scrambles up as fast as she can. We do this about 20 times a day.
 Just my cutest.
Some of Em's favorites: Taking everything out of mom's make-up bag and playing with my old bracelets.
-Eating gold fish straight from the snack jar
- Hanging out with Daddy

-Lovin' on babies, especially Ans. And Em is loving giving kisses to any one now.
 Cruising the furniture

-Food. She was licking the syrup off her plate haha
I look at her at least once a day and wonder how I got so lucky. She's mine!
Happy 11 Months to my sweetest.

To end our Summer...

So even though I live in Arizona where the heat of Summer lasts well into the beginning of October, as soon as September hits...I am all over Fall.  I love Fall time, and mid-September is right about the time I start missing Utah, so beautiful there. Of course, I do love my Arizona and am happy to say that when I went outside this evening it wasn't deathly hot. It was even cool enough to take a walk if you ask me :) That being said, we have had a fun time 'ending our summer' before gearing up for Holiday times and Em's first Birthday.

Some of the endings include...

My Aunt Kelly, Cousin Sydney and her beautiful baby girl Bentlee came down to visit and we are so glad they did. They're a party! We were brave and went to the zoo in the heat, too hot but still fun.

My Aunt Laurie also got to come!
I think she likes Grandma more than me
Emery points at everything now, and if she points at you...well, you better point back and touch her finger. It's like her own version of a fist bump.

Fail. She hated the splash pad and wouldn't let me put her down.

Remember those little changes I talked about in a post while back? Well this one has been a long time coming. I never liked the shelves above my couch when we first moved in and I FINALLY put my foot down, used my hard earned money(okay not that hard earned, I clean Court's office building once a week for some extra cash :) totally worth it) and got some shelves I have had my eye on for quite some time. So much better. Our family room feels complete now.  It's the little things right?

We headed to Norco, California to go see Grammy! It was a short trip, but fun and relaxing. I am so glad we made it up there for Labor Day weekend. Sadly, these are the only pictures Court and I took-Em before we headed off to church and Em with the chilly pad around her at the park. We're missin' Grammy even more around here now.

Swimming, swimming, swimming as much as we can until it gets too cold.

And of course Cook family BBQ's filled with good food, pool ball and Just Dance! Watching my parents dance was the funniest. And me and my sisters might have hogged the dancing sessions, it was a blast.
And last, but not least...my brother Trevor made it down from China for a visit. Yay! We have missed him and are so glad we have been able to spend time with him.

I'm hoping we can get in a cabin trip before my grandparents close it up for Winter, we'll see.
If we don't though, I am happy to report this Summer has still been a fun one, So bring on the Fall!
