Labor Day Weekend

What a fun weekend we had! Talking, playing games and night games and of course stuffing our faces with delicious food, what more could you want? Court and I got back from the cabin yesterday evening. We loved being able to spend time with our Cook family. All the Cooks use to go a lot more, but as the families grow it gets a lot harder for every one to get up there, so we really had a good time with every one! I always feel so lucky that I am so close with all my extended family! It was quite a bit more crowded with this group, but I loved every minute of it! Enjoy the pictures!

The young marrieds and young adults were in charge of breakfast Saturday morning, we had extra help as you can see.
Court and Zacky got a little creative with the pancake making. I was quite impressed.
That is Court's tortoise.
The snake and the elephant :)
Some of the cousins catching up
The little cousins love Court...or his iPad.

Haha She is so happy now.
Getting some of the girls all pretty for Sunday.
My Beautiful cousin Hannah after hair and make-up.
 Enjoying the nice, cool weather.

My very talented Aunt Katherine is helping me make curtains for the baby room.
Getting every one ready for game night. Notice the teen cousins on their phones :)
 Me and Kwisten :)
My Beautiful Grandma and lovely mom.
Hahaha, Court after his quad ride. Only helmet left I guess???
Me and Court with Carter and Saydee Lady.
 Caliber
 Conner
Look who we got to take home :) Love these funny guys. They kept us very entertained. Entertainment included singing at the top of their lungs, windows rolled down, music up to 'We are Young' by Fun. They wanted to sing to all the other cars that we were stuck in traffic with for 45 minutes. Haha I'm sure the other drivers appreciated it.

I have to say I love the cabin! I have so many good memories there growing up, and now thanks to this past weekend I have another good memory to add.

Bear Lake!

So I should've posted about Bear Lake like 2 months ago, but I couldn't find the million, okay like 5 pictures we took. We are the worst with pictures, but I am trying to do better! Anyway, Like I have said before, Bear Lake is always a high light of our Summer. It's always filled with wonderful weather and it's so beautiful up there, and of course our wonderful Zulauf family who we never get to see enough of! Here's a couple pics from the this years trip :)
Some of the clan on their way up to repel
They had to make their own trail, which is good for entertainment haha
 The cliff they came down
Just because this would happen and it makes me laugh :)
The clan, we're missing the Garffs but everyone else is there. Also, another picture i love to look at because again I am reminded of how lucky we all are to have so many people to love and who love us. (Can you all tell I've been in a sentimental mood :) )

So Bear Lake was a fun trip as usual! We love seeing everyone because we don't get to see every one enough being in AZ. We were so happy to meet the new babies like little Savannah and see Pressley again, and finally meet little Z too! We love this growing family!

Cabin Time!

Two weeks ago the Cook family decided it was high time for a cabin trip (requested by Tanman because he had to go back up to BYU and wanted to do something with everyone before he left), and a great request it was! Of course, we miss Trevor as usual who is working in China. Luckily though the Garffs got to join us on this trip which every one was excited about because they are lots of fun!

It wasn't a long trip, just Friday to Sunday but so much fun none the less! It was great being all together and playing games, and of course it wouldn't be a cabin trip with out a "1 mile" hike, 1 mile being 3 miles up and 3 miles down (haha, my dad is notorious for this so we knew well ahead it would be longer, which is fine because we love hiking and it was beautiful!) We didn't get pics of the cabin, but a lot of pics of the hike :) We hiked up to Mt. Baldy and the fresh air did us all some good!

There were really neat rock formations just randomly placed all along the trail which made for good climbing :)

Court in his natural habitat haha I'm funny
I look like I'm the reason that tree fell over, it's alright though :) 30 weeks along now so I see the light at the end of the tunnel

Our group :) This picture just makes me so happy to look at because we were finally at the top haha, no actually because I'm just reminded of what wonderful family I have and how much I love every one in this picture.
Me and Courty, love this guy!
Haha, i had to put this last picture up of Cruzer. This kid is lovin' his sunglasses and he kept this smug little 'Don't mess' look on his face the whole way to church. We were all laughing our heads off and Court snapped a picture so he cracked that little smirk just in time. Hilarious!

We had tons of fun at the cabin and are actually going back this weekend for Labor Day with all the Cooks as in aunts, uncles, grandparents and cousins. It will be quite the crowd, but we are so excited b/c it has been awhile since everyone has made it up! I'll let you know how it goes! F.Y.I I know I promised pics of finished baby projects, but since a lot is done the nursery is so close to being all the way put together so I'm just going to wait until it's completely done to post. Just a little longer!

A quick look into our Summer

It is time for an over due post if you ask me. Summer has been great, but I have to admit that I am ready for this AZ heat to LEAVE forever! I have always been able to handle it but being pregnant in the heat, not the most fun thing to deal with, I'm so happy this little babe will be born when it's cooler. On a different note...here are some of the projects that me and Court have been working on :)

Much more girly now :)

Court hard at work. He has been a trooper! (He is painting the crib right now as I update) :)

Aw the dresser, happy to say we found it for a steal on craigslist and happier to say it is finished now! We found cute pink and white knobs at Hobby Lobby (of course) that just made it perfect. Don't worry...completed project pictures will be posted within a day or two.

This night stand also almost completely completed now, cant wait!

Yes, her name is definitely Emery (obviously we can't change it now, which is fine by both of us) These will go above her crib and Court is going to frame her name. I think it will be cute.We already love our little Em!

Now hopefully a pregnant lady in a swimsuit doesn't offend, mind you I had just stuffed myself with a ginorm hamburger and potato salad.

But it is time for a belly pic since the last one I took was almost 11 weeks ago.
So here I am 27 weeks a long and already super impatient and wanting little Em to be here. My mom keeps telling me 'enjoy this time because it will never be the same' and oh I know it, so I am trying but with all these baby projects going on it is making it hard for me to be patient :)

Moving on, we had a Cook family bbq this last Monday to welcome home my little brother Tanner who had been doing a research project in Mexico for the last 3 months. I'm so happy to have him back for a little bit before he leaves back up to BYU. Here are some pictures of our fun filled evening!

Me and Cruza. Love this little guy so much!

Playing cards before we eat, obviously Tyler must be losing because he doesn't look too happy.

Faith and Cruz, Court and Shaun

Kwisten

A diving contest followed after our game of pool basket ball. Tanner is the blur diving over Court. He cleared Court with flying colors and needless to say won the diving contest. Surprisingly Court never got hit by any of the other divers, so good job Court and divers.

We have had a wonderful summer and are so glad we have been able to spend it with good friends and lots of family! Things are going great and we are looking especially forward to the next couple of months!

California Time! and baby Zulauf news!

Over Memorial Day weekend Court and I were lucky enough to get away to California with some of our wonderful friends, Leah and Devan! We stayed in Norco and got there right in time to celebrate Cruzer's 2nd Birthday which we were so happy about. We got to visit with the fam, and made it to the beach and San diego Zoo.

We had a wonderful time at the beach! and wanted to go back as soon as we got home!

We are so happy we got to take our little mini vacation. It was a blast and hard to get back to reality the next day. Court and I can't wait until our next vacation at Bear Lake! This is always a much anticipated one and we've already started the count down.

So onto the baby news.
On May 29th, Court's 25th Birthday, we went in to find out if our little babe was a boy or girl! We were so excited and Court said it was the best Birthday Present yet :)
Me and Court aways said we hoped we would have a boy first, but from the moment we found out I was pregnant we both felt like it was going to be a little girl, and we have absolutely no problem with that :) And guess what it was????? a BABY GIRL!
We sat there thrilled and so happy to see that she was healthy and moving moving moving all over the place! She loved to kick her legs and she would start sucking on her toes, I know it's just a little computer screen thing you see her on, but we both think she is the most beautiful baby in the world. Seeing her was the best start to our day!

Almost 17 weeks, the morning right before we found out Little Small was a girl :)

We had a wonderful rest of the day! Court had his special birthday dinner and present time and then cake and ice cream with some of the fam.

So sorry, one more thing! Happy Fathers Day to all you fathers/brothers/uncles/grandpas out there!
An extra shout out to:
I am so grateful for an amazing husband who works so hard for me. It is weird to look back on my life and think Court wasn't apart of it for the first 20 years. I don't know what I would do with out him, he is my 'go to' and best friend. I love him with all my heart and know he is going to be an amazing daddy!

My dad. I love him so much. He has taught me such good things and has always been one of my very best examples and some one I want to be like. I don't think I can ever thank him enough for what he has done for me or our family. I can go to him for anything and he is always there for me. He is my best friend.

And happy Fathers Day to Marv. I truly think he was the best father in law anyone could have. He was always so kind and made sure everyone felt welcome. I can't thank him enough for the man and hard worker he taught Court to be. No one went unnoticed with Marv around.
