26, and 7 Months

Happy 26th Birthday to my love today!
Thanks for being the best Daddy and a wonderful husband.

So glad we get to spend today together before me and Em head off to Utah.

And now,  here is my 7 Month old girl...

And some stuff about her...

She is our tall girl, she was 98th percentile in height. We will see if it slows down or not.
She will grab anything!  Especially mom's hair. This is her trying to grab the camera. She is so interested in everything she sees.

Still not crawling, but as you can see...she is getting closer. She gets very frustrated now when something is out of her reach and she's not moving. We will see :)
 Still loves bouncing and rocking
She is our happy girl and it's getting easier and easier to make her laugh. Notice that she has TWO teeth now.
She used to only really suck her thumb when she was tired, but we are seeing that thumb in her mouth more and more these days.
 Still likes her feet.

Some of Em's favorite things to do:
-Go swimming with Mommy
-Clap her hands, which is adorable
-She still waves, but now mostly to herself and it is the cutest thing in the world
-Eat

Some of mine and Dad's favorite things Em does:
-When the congregation starts singing at church she starts to "sing" (as in  'AAAAHHHHH') too
-When I am nursing her she will always reach her hand up to feel my face until she finds my lips, I'll kiss her hand every time and she will smile or start laughing every time. It melts my heart.
-A lot of times when I am nursing too she will pause look up and do her little wave. Then she will go back to eating.
-She will wrap her little arms around your neck when she first wakes up, and she does this to Court a lot and you can see him melt like butter when she gives him her 'hugs'.

We adore our Em. She is our best and we are so grateful she is healthy and growing just like she should. I can't believe it has been 7 months! I'm loving every second of watching her grow up!

Summa Time

I love Summer! Love it (unless I am pregnant...not so much then). People may think I am a little crazy for liking it as much as I do because Arizona gets hot, like leave up North because I have to get out of here hot. Even then, I love it. There is always swimming and lots of BBQs and all I ever smell is sunscreen, and burgers grilling. I love looking forward to vacations, being with family and seeing Emery meet new little cousins. I love early morning runs in the summer too. It just feels different. It's nice and quiet and so still. And I love it because I love sunshine! Looks like I am living in the right place :) I have had so much fun taking Emery to the pool. She loves the water and is happy just splashing away or floating in her tube. So we have been doing a lot of this lately...

Just relaxing. Mmmmm, love those squishy thighs!
 Taking a nap
Thanks Cruzer for letting me play with your squirt gun!
The other day I had a few friends come over with their littles and we all headed to the pool. We had fun playing with the babies and talking. I was mad I didn't take more pictures, but I did get this one of Em and Owen after swimming. Little buddies :)
***************************
I have to say that this Summer has started off wonderful :) We've all ready had at least 4 BBQ's and have been swimming a lot. We got to go celebrate Cruzer's 3rd Birthday yesterday which was so fun and so cute! We adore that little guy and it's been so fun watching him grow up. Me and Court get more and more sad knowing that Faith and Shaun's time in AZ is growing shorter.
 Happy Birthday Cruzer guy!
Before we headed off to Cruz's Birthday party...this was supposed to be a family picture, but Court was being a party pooper.
We are having a BBQ in the evening for Memorial Day (Bet you didn't see that one coming) at my Mom and Dad's tomorrow which will be filled with pool games and delicious food! Even better, Court doesn't have to work tomorrow so we are going to take advantage of that! We are going to be celebrating Court's 26th Birthday on Tuesday before me and Em head up to Utah to go pick up some Motorcycles for Court, and then before you know it...Bear Lake time will be here. I love everything about this Summer already. I see a 'Summer To Do List' coming in the near future :)

Hope everyone has a beautiful Summer too! Stay cool!

Oh...and look who is 7 months old today....

Did I mention I love Summer baby clothes?
Or no clothes :)

7 Month Post will hopefully be up tomorrow.

Hooray for Vacay!

We just got back from Rocky Point on Thursday night. This is a vacation I look forward to every year, a long with everyone else in my family.  We had a wonderful time, and it was even more fun with Emery! I think she loves it there as much as I do!

 Best place...the beach

 Loved her bath time

 All of us :)
She was not happy I made her take a picture with me because I interrupted her playing with this...

 Much better
 The girls
You would think she took good, long naps here after swimming and such...not so much, but every now and then she got a good one
Trying on Mom's new hat...I think she looks much cuter in it :)
She loved this fish, she took naps in it at the pool, we would fill it with water at the beach and she would just play away. She also loved to play in it at the condo.

Hanging out for a bit before we packed up and left.

I miss this place already! Can't wait for next year!

Family Pictures & Mother's Day

I can't believe May is more than half way over! I didn't realize it has been awhile since I last updated, so...get ready for an overload!

We got some family pictures taken about a month in half ago by my friend Rachel who does a wonderful job! I loved them, and it's nice to have some updated pictures around :) I thought I would post a few of my favorites...

Did I say a few??? Ha, I meant nine.
***************************

I decided to get a little crafty for Mother's Day this year and made these for my Momma and Mother-in-law.

I thought they turned out pretty cute and they were fun to make. Not hard or expensive either. I Just cut out pictures in different sizes and mod-podged them onto the pot and then tied a tool ribbon around the top. I just used clay pots and painted them. I like that it's a cute and different way to display pictures.
Plus, I think the Grandmas liked them :)

I feel so very blessed to have such a wonderful Mom. What an example she has been to me! And how grateful I am for a Mother-in-law who raised such a good son! I hope they each had an amazing Mother's Day because those 2 ladies deserve the best!

My Mother's Day was a  good and quiet one. We actually left for our annual family trip to Rocky Point, Mexico that morning and that's the best gift you can me. The trip was even more fun now that I have my little Em to bring. Oh, how I love being a Momma!
