Our 18 Month Old Girl

Emery is a year and a half. When did that happen?! Her silly personality is the best and I continue to be amazed at all she is learning and how much she is talking. Here is some of what Em has been up to...

I took these before we went to church. It was her first day of nursery. She did pretty well. Cried a little bit at the beginning but ended up really liking it.

Good job Girl! We are still practicing getting on and off her big girl bed, she is still in the pack n' play for a couple weeks longer.

Emery (Okay both of us) had fun playing with these really foamy bubbles. I whipped some up and she had a blast digging up her bath toys and pouring the bubbles into other buckets and bowls.
I found the recipe on pinterest, duh. 2 tablespoons of dish soap and a 1/4 cup of water, mix with an electric mixer on high (add food coloring to make it more fun) and tah-dah! Foam.

She LOVES her swing dad got her when we were in Mexico. We have fun almost every evening going outside and she'll swing forever. She'll move back and forth from sandbox to swing. She loves outside.

Some of Emmy's favorites right now:
-Riding the motorcycles with dad
-Playing outside
-Swimming
-Her cash register she got for Easter
-Putting her beebee's night night
-Loves eating tomatoes and marshmallows
-Saying 'no' or 'no-ee' to everything, she thinks it's a game. The only thing she will say 'yish' (yes) to is if you ask if she wants mallows. It's pretty cute.
-The show Care bears
-Playing 'mommy monster', I just crawl around after her and jump out and scare her and we both end up laughing like crazy. It's so fun, but definitely getting more tiring with this ever growing belly of mine.
-Looking at pictures on dad's iPad and mom's phone
-Grandma and Grandpa
-Her 2 fuzzy blankies, she won't sleep without them
-And of course..sucking her thumb

Em is still pretty cuddly and affectionate which I love! She loves to be held and will climb on you and make sure you are right next to her when she is watching her little shows. She will always pat and rub your back and look up at you with pursed little lips to give you kisses. It's pretty much the best thing ever.  She loves to give her cousins and any babies kisses and hugs. I always laugh so hard because even though Em is pretty cautious of people she doesn't know, when we are at a park or splash pad she seriously will pick a random kid out of the crowd she likes to go hug and kiss. Every time we go somewhere.

We sure love our girl. This age has been so fun! Me and Court will just laugh forever at some of the stuff she does.  We can't wait to see her be a big sister (once the adjustment is over haha)

Easter

Easter was so much fun! I've loved the Cook family Easter picnic since it was me hunting those Easter eggs. It was so fun watching Em this year. That girl was in heaven playing outside with cousins and had so much fun looking for eggs. Plus, the weather couldn't have been better!

Em loved her Easter present from Grandma. Thanks Grandma for the cute bunny and book!
Can you tell I'm in my 3rd trimester? Puffy face.

You best believe we were on the winning team of ultimate frisbee.

She was so proud of the eggs she found and ran to show Grandpa and Grandma right away. She was even happier when she found out they were filled with candy.

Pretty in her Easter dress for church. We just love this sweet and silly girl.

We hope everyone had a great Easter! We are so grateful we are able to spend this holiday with people we love and to celebrate the atonement and resurrection of our savior!

St. George

A few weeks ago me and Em, my mom and Lindsay and Ansley drove up to St.George to visit my Grandma. It was a fun little girls' trip and it was even more fun because my Aunt Kelly and cousins Katie and Sydney came with their cute kids. We missed Kristen though who had to stay behind because of work.

Em loved these cute girls, Mackynlee and Karsyn
And I think Em and And became best buddies on this trip. Emery's favorite thing to do was go with Lindsay to get Ansley up from her nap.

 Had so much fun swimming
We did a little shopping and Em got her first piece of carmel apple. She loved it.
 More swimming.

 They loved the swan.
It was a really fun trip and it's always hard to say good bye, but we missed dad so we were excited to get home!

Why not another post?

As I said in my last post as soon as we got back from our vacation we came back to lots of work. The cleaning business really only keeps me really busy the last week of the month but Court...man, that guy is a champ. He has been busy bc we had to get some new cleaners so he has had to train all of them, and Vision Makers is in on fire right now with all their business so we haven't gotten to see him as much as usual lately. Luckily things are finally starting to calm down a bit so he will be around more :) thank goodness.  Needless to say we have been visiting dad a lot for lunch lately because we miss him.

Emery decided to change her schedule on me this last month as well, but that is nice and established now. It took me awhile to get used to one nap a day but it's nice she sleeps in now. We have had some fun adventures here at home. Here's a little bit of what we do...

 Be weird, haha
Baking, we haven't really been doing this as much lately
Reading stories to 'beebee' (baby)
We went to the zoo with one of my best friends Leah and that was very fun!
Building forts
And playing outside with the water hose and buckets. Basically I am trying to think of more and more things for this girl to do because she is ready to go the entire day!
We went to a splash pad with some friends today too, water will be involved  a lot now because AZ weather has decided to start getting in Summer shape I guess. It's suppose to be 98 degrees tomorrow! Feel bad for my big, pregnant self.

Speaking of pregnant selfs...
Here is a 25 week belly shot. I wore black to disguise how big I really am haha, but seriously. Besides me being huge (27 1/2 weeks now) this pregnancy has continued to go great. I swear its because of my consistent exercising and I have eaten quite a bit better compared to how I ate with Em , still hasn't stopped me from getting huge but at least I feel good!
We have decided we should probably start getting ready for this little peanut to join our family so we have been working on Em's big girl room and his nursery. It's all slowly but surely coming a long.

I had this old lamp stand and found this cute shade at Target on sale (8 bucks baby) and decided it would be perfect for Em's big girl room.

I had to add the polka dots to mix it up a little and I thought it would help keep her room more toddler-y :) Luckily Emery's room has been easy to change around. We just had to move in the bed, buy bedding and I changed a couple of things with stuff I had lying around. But it is mostly the same. I'll post pictures of it when it's completely done. I still have to paint a few things since It's a lot lighter pink now.
A little wreath I made for her room. I know doesn't look time consuming, but wrapping that yarn was the death of me!!!!
Her big girl room is looking cute but I'm not going to lie that I almost shed a tear packing up a lot of her little baby girl things.

And we are getting ready for Easter around here. Love this Holiday! And getting ready for Emery to go to nursery the end of this month. Crazy!
